Why Neon?
Shortly after an extensive surgery in April of 2012, Katie got a pair of neon sneakers. She chose these glowing shoes because she thought they’d put a smile on people’s faces. She was right. Wherever she went in the following months, people noticed her sneakers and commented enthusiastically. Seeing her strategy work, Katie added other neon items to her wardrobe. Soon, people at hospitals and wherever she went anticipated her arrival with joy—uplifted by a young cancer patient whose shoes and whole spirit glowed.
Our neon logo reflects Katie’s vibrant love of life and incorporates the classic cancer ribbon into the “K”.
About the colors
The Katie Moore Foundation is authentic Katie—including our logo. We drew inspiration from several memories and photos of her, including the photo at right. We think she would approve!
