Dominic Moore, Katie's husband, founded the Katie Moore Foundation in 2013. Dominic graduated from Harvard College in 2003 with a degree in Sociology, and competed on both the varsity tennis and varsity ice hockey teams as an undergrad. He captained the hockey team in his senior season and was selected that year as an NCAA First Team All-American.
For the past 10 years, Dominic has played in the National Hockey League, serving various teams as assistant or associate captain. He has served 8 years on the executive board of the NHL Players Association as a leader in the player’s union, working in various committees throughout this time. He is also the founder of a successful and growing charity table tennis tournament called Smashfest in Toronto, Canada, featuring NHL players and other celebrities each summer.
